Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1965 and is managed to promote the health and well-being of migratory birds and their habitat.

Sand Dunes State Forest is located within the bounds of Orrock Township, named after the first white settler in the area, Robert Orrock, who arrived in 1857.

If you're looking to combine a great camping experience with horseback riding or snowmobiling, Ann Lake Campground will be perfect for your getaway. The campground has 36 individual campsites and four group camps with a sandy swimming beach.
Bob Dunn Horse Campground offers 13 campsites with pull-through campsites. There are also picket lines at each campsite, manure bunkers, an accessible loading ramp, and a lot of open space. Campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table.
